This is a small segment from the award winning 1987 documentary by National Public Radio that Bill Lichtenstein created. Bill so loved the name of my Saigon Show, that he named the documentary after it. Although the entire documentary covers all aspects of the powerful effect of radio in Vietnam, This segment deals with the time right after the Tet Offensive in 1968 when Anti-War sentiment was gaining tremendous momentum, not only in the United States, but in the very ranks of the soldiers who were fighting and dieing in Vietnam itself. It also shows the tremendous effort of the Government to misdirect and cover up what was really happening in Vietnam.
