This is an interview I did with David Zeiger regarding the Special Edition DVD of "Sir! No Sir!" David sent me some advanced copies of the "Sir, No Sir" Special Edition this morning. I have just finished watching the EXTRAS, including the interview with that Rabbit guy. As much as I was blown away by it's theatrical release and the DVD stand alone that followed a few months after..... it does NOT COMPARE to the SPECIAL EDITION VERSION. As you will note from the PHOTO attached of the back cover..... there are over 14 EXTRAS that cover everything from rare footage of David Zeiger at the Oleo Strut in 1968, his return to Fort Hood, the feelings of the BLACK GI and "The Enemy", plus much more. And even though the Rita Martinson "Soldier, We Love You" is contained in a snippet...... the FULL VERSION which includes her comments BEFORE she sang the song and WHO she wrote the song about is included in the EXTRAS.

The Special Edition goes on SALE December 19, 2006 worldwide.

One of the most interesting facts about this release is the sheer numbers that have been requested by rental companies. The distributor, Docu Drama, said that is it the largest request of copies for any documentary film that they have ever handled.

With the uproar of pulling out of Iraq NOW being the topic of conversation in every news media... THIS is going to be a huge selling DVD.
